Resumo O artigo, tomando o repertório teórico da economia política da pena, parte de leitura histórico-estrutural da função do controle penal nas diferentes etapas de acumulação no capitalismo brasileiro com vistas a expor a ausência de rupturas experimentadas nas políticas criminais e de segurança pública durante os governos social-liberais do Partido dos Trabalhadores (2003-2016).

Abstract The article, taking the theoretical repertoire of the political economy of punishment, starts from a historical-structural reading of the function of penal control in the different stages of capital accumulation in Brazilian capitalism viewing to expose the absence of disruptions experienced in criminal and public security policies during social-liberal governments of the Partido dos Trabalhadores (Workers' Party) (2003-2016).

Resumo Diante de um aumento vertiginoso do encarceramento de mulheres por tráfico de drogas, este artigo visa colaborar na análise das múltiplas determinantes deste fenômeno desde o diálogo entre pensamento criminológico crítico e teorias feministas marxistas, tendo como central a afirmação da condição destas mulheres enquanto trabalhadoras do tráfico e a compreensão da dinâmica de seus lugares na produção e reprodução social do capital.

Abstract Faced with a dizzying increase in the incarceration of women for drug trafficking, this article aims to collaborate in the analysis of the multiple determinants of this phenomenon from the dialogue between critical criminological theory and Marxist feminist theories, with the affirmation of the condition of trafficking workers as central of these women and the understanding of the dynamics of their places in the production and social reproduction of capital.
